Membership cards can help you save time at the register when a customer makes a purchase. Simply scan and continue with your sale without having to ask the customer for their details.
When a customer joins your program, they have the option of saving their coupons and a digital membership card to Apple Wallet, or you can assign a physical membership card to their account. This isn't essential, but is an option for retailers who find value in using physical membership cards.
Using Apple Wallet
Apple Wallet is seamlessly integrated with Collect Apps and there's no installation or physical cards required.
When your customers receive a coupon from your store by email, they have the option to add the coupon to Apple Wallet.
Once they’ve stored it in Apple Wallet it’s easy to get to when they’re in-store.
SETTING UP Physical MEMBERSHIP CARDS
Having physical membership cards can save you time at checkout, and customers won't have to give their details at every purchase.
If you'd like to use physical membership cards:
1. First, source cards that do not include a built-in loyalty program.
2. Override the reference number or customer code for the customer in your POS and match it to the membership ID on the card, so that when you search the membership ID number, the customer appears.
3. Gather their First Name, Last Name and Email Address to sync them into your program.
Using Physical Membership Cards In-Store
After the customer is set up in your point-of-sale, simply scan their membership card to apply them to the sale. Collect will recognize the customer's email address and will automatically sync their purchase information into your Collect Apps program.
