Coupon redemption in Shopify Point-of-Sale is a breeze for staff and customers.
Customers will receive an email notification that lets them know they've received an offer or reward. From the email they can claim the coupon and also have the option of saving it to Apple Wallet.
Redeeming Coupons in Shopify POS
With Shopify Point-of-Sale, there's no need to scan QR codes or enter a coupon code into the system. We've built Collect into Shopify Point-of-Sale so you can redeem customer coupons directly from the sale page.
When a customer is ready to redeem the coupon:
1. During a purchase, add the customer to the sale.
2. You can redeem the coupon directly from Shopify Point-of-Sale:
Click the button at the top right of the screen.
Click Show Customer Rewards to display a popup of the customer's profile.
Choose which coupon the customer would like to use and click Redeem.
If customers have more than one coupon available, be sure to ask which coupon they would like to redeem.
The discount will automatically be added to the sale and be removed from their account to Prevent Coupon Code Misuse.
5. Continue to payment as normal and complete the sale.
Note: Coupons are redeemable once and will disappear from the customer's profile once used. This is to prevent coupon abuse.
The customer's redemption and order information will automatically update in Collect.
